All Air Optix contact lenses now come with Hydraglyde

It's been a long time coming, but regular Air Optix contact lenses are now sold out. What that means for you, is that all Air Optix contact lenses will now ship with Hydraglyde.

How much will it cost?
Let's get the important question out of the way first. How much more will this spanking new technology cost me? Well, you'll be glad to know that unlike iPhones, contact lenses do not get more expensive with every upgrade. There is no increase in price. Zero Zilch. Nada.

What is Hydraglyde?
We do not know the exactly how the technology works ( we are not as brilliant as the scientists at Alcon, no matter how hard we tried), we do know what it does!

In short, HydraGlyde®Moisture Matrix Technology surrounds lenses in long-lasting surface moisture to help keep the lens surface continuously hydrated. This means the surface of your lenses stay moist longer. Much longer. This keeps your eyes feeling fresh and comfy all throughout the day, without you needing to continually blink to keep them moist.

What is SmartShield then?
SmartShield is the technology that is in Air Optix contact lenses before Hydraglyde, and is still here to stay. Again, we do not know exactly how in works, but the wizards at Alcon have managed to create a technology that helps resist deposit buildup over the month.

Deposits from cholesterol, cosmetics, hand creams and makeup removers can be hard to avoid, and they tend to cause our contact lenses to feel irritating after a while. SmartShield prevents that through...magic and science. What we do know is that your Air Optix contact lenses stay comfy throughout the month!
