Governing Law
By using this website and ordering lenses, you agree that the governing law for this contract shall be the law of Hong Kong.
As per the laws of the Hong Kong government, only specified classes of registered healthcare professionals are allowed to prescribe or fit prescription optical appliances (including contact lenses). However, the law does not impose any restrictions on the sale of contact lenses by persons who are not registered healthcare professionals. As such, Contacts Asia operates solely as a distributor and provider of contact lenses and their related products. We do NOT in any way provide medical advice, suggestions or prescriptions of any kind.
In Hong Kong, the law requires that you have a valid prescription from a Registered Optometrist or eye care provider. By placing your order of contact lenses with us, you certify that you have a valid prescription from a Registered Optometrist or eye care provider. You further certify that this prescription and any information you submit to us matches the prescription given by your Optometrist or eye care provider and is valid within the time period specified by your Optometrist or eye care provider. You also consent to our contacting your Optometrist or eye care provider, if necessary, to verify your prescription or any other necessary information. We disclaim all liability arising from your failure to provide us with correct and accurate information concerning the valid prescription you received from your Optometrist or eye care provider. We will not be responsible for any error in your prescription. Please be familiar with your own laws regarding the purchase of contact lenses in your own country.

Order processing
We stock most of the regular lenses on our site, and they will typically be sent out on the next working day from the time of your order. However, please note that it is not always possible. Possible delays include but are not limited to:
Regular Lenses: Sometimes stock runs out or you may have a high power that we do not stock. Should that be the case, we will replenish those on our supply runs, which can take up to 7 working days.
Astigmatism (Toric) lenses: Toric lenses are generally not stocked as there are thousands of variations in prescriptions. What happens is we usually get these from the manufacturer during our supply runs, and that usually takes about 1-2 weeks. For rare prescriptions, they will have to be custom-made by the manufacturer and will take up to 4-8 weeks to process. Please note that once the order has been placed with the manufacturer, there will be no refunds allowed for all astigmatism prescriptions.
Multifocal/ Far-sighted (+) lenses: We generally do not stock these lenses, and a waiting time of 7 working days is to be expected, up to 3 weeks for rarer powers.
Taxes and custom duties
Contacts Asia is not responsible for any custom duties/taxes that may be imposed by your country. Should your country also require declarations or prescriptions or any other form of processes required for the release of your shipment, please also note that we cannot be responsible for them. We have experience in most countries and will be glad to give your advice and help you along, but ultimately we will not provide reimbursement or refunds of any kind should you incur additional charges or have your package seized by your country's authorities.
Delays and non-receipt
Shipping time cannot be guaranteed in the case of adverse events at the Contacts Asia warehouse or at any of our shipping carriers, including but not limited to pandemics, snowstorms, earthquakes, hurricanes, volcanic eruptions or Thanos attacking Earth. Refunds for orders due to extended shipping times are generally not allowed, but do contact us and we will help you if we can.
Should you not be at home to receive your package, your shipping carrier will usually leave a note for you to collect it or arrange a redelivery. If an extended time passes before you do so, the package may be returned to us, and we will happily resend it to you, but please note that you might be liable for shipping charges.
